Today begins with a visit to Tel Basta (ancient Babastis), where it’s believed Jesus brought forth a spring. Then continue to Belbeis, the modern site of Philippos, where the Holy Family rested under a tree — now enshrined near Saint George Church.
Lunch will be served at a local Egyptian restaurant before returning to your hotel in Cairo.

After breakfast, travel 140 km north to Sakha, where you'll visit the Virgin Mary Church and the sacred stone believed to hold the footprint of Christ.
Continue to Samanoud, where the Holy Family crossed the Nile and were warmly received by locals. Visit the Church of Saint Abanoub and its holy well. On the way back to Cairo, enjoy lunch in Tanta.

Visit the White Monastery in Sohag, once home to over 2,000 monks, followed by the Monastery of the Holy Virgin in Al Qusiya, where the Holy Family stayed for over six months.
Continue to Qena to explore Dendera Temple, home of the goddess Hathor, then arrive in Luxor and check into the elegant Sonesta St. George Hotel.
