Itinerary

Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our local representative, who will assist you with immigration and luggage formalities. Then, enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Muscat. Check in and relax after your journey, preparing for the adventures that await.

Overnight in Muscat

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel before setting off on a guided tour through the heart of Muscat. Start with a visit to the awe-inspiring Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the Middle East, known for its grand design and serene ambience. Continue to the Bait Al Zubair Museum, which beautifully showcases Omani heritage with its vast collection of artifacts, weaponry, traditional costumes, and jewelry.

The journey continues through Old Muscat, where steep mountains surround the elegant Al Alam Palace, the ceremonial residence of His Majesty, flanked by the historic Jalali and Mirani forts, built in the 16th century by the Portuguese. End your city exploration with a walk through the Muttrah Souq, a vibrant bazaar filled with scents of frankincense, handmade silver, and colorful textiles.

After breakfast, drive to Nizwa, Oman’s cultural capital. Visit the impressive Round Tower Fort, built in the 17th century, and browse the bustling Nizwa Souq, famous for its Friday livestock market, Khanjars (daggers), and intricate silverware.

Continue to Jabrin Castle, one of the most beautiful castles in Oman, known for its decorated ceilings, wooden carvings, and Islamic architecture. On the way to the desert, stop at Bahla Fort (photo stop) and then explore the ancient village of Birkat Al Mouz, nestled at the foot of the Al Hajar Mountains and home to the traditional aflaj irrigation system.

End the day with a thrilling drive into Wahiba Sands, a vast sea of golden dunes. Enjoy a desert sunset, traditional Omani dinner, and a night under the stars in a desert camp.

Start your morning with breakfast in the camp before heading to the coastal city of Sur, known for its long-standing dhow-building heritage. Visit a traditional dhow shipyard to see artisans still building wooden boats by hand.

Next, stop at Qalhat for a photo opportunity at Bibi Miriam’s Tomb, then journey through the spectacular Wadi Tiwi, a lush valley with plantations and traditional villages. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the white-sand beach of Finns, followed by a visit to the natural marvel of the Bimah Sinkhole, a striking limestone crater filled with turquoise seawater.

Return to Muscat in the late afternoon and relax at your hotel.
