Itinerary

Welcome to Casablanca, the vibrant heart of Morocco. Upon your arrival, your local guide will meet you outside Gate 2 at the airport. You will then travel north to Rabat, the capital city, where you will check into your hotel and spend the night.

Overnight in Rabat.

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Rabat, starting with the historic Chellah and Kasbah Ouddaya. Enjoy some free time to explore the bustling bazaars and souks of the Old Medina, known for exquisite Moroccan leather goods and jewelry. Then, relax with a traditional mint tea and local pastries like Kaab Ghazal and Ghoraiba at Café Maure by the Bouregrag River.

Your journey continues toward Fez, with a stop at the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A specialist guide will take you through the ruins, sharing stories behind the arches, temples, and mosaics. Next, visit Meknes, Morocco’s lesser-known imperial city, built by Moulay Ismail and known as the ‘Versailles of Morocco’. Explore the iconic Bab El Mansour gate and Lihri before continuing to Fez for your overnight stay.

Today is dedicated to exploring Fez, once Morocco’s capital until 1912. Your guided tour will include the UNESCO-listed Medina, the world’s oldest university, and important sites such as Bou-Inania and Attarin Medersa, the famous tanneries, Ess-Seffarine Square, Moulay Idris’s tomb, El-Nejjarine Square, and the cabinet makers’ souk. You will also visit the Mellah, the historic Jewish quarter.

Experience a pottery workshop with a local master, giving you a hands-on cultural insight. After enjoying a traditional lunch, the rest of the day is free for you to relax at your hotel or explore Fez independently.

After breakfast, journey southward passing through Ifrane and Midelt before reaching Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Erfoud is famous among archaeologists for its ancient fossils and is also known locally as Madfouna, meaning “buried.” Upon arrival in Merzouga, embark on a thrilling 4x4 adventure across the sand dunes to catch a breathtaking Sahara sunset.

Wake up to a stunning sunrise over the desert dunes. Travel from Merzouga to Ouarzazate, stopping en route at the spectacular Todra Gorge near Tinerhir, a dramatic canyon famous for its towering cliffs.
