Day Tour from Cairo to Luxor by flight

After a warm welcome, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation in a private, air-conditioned vehicle with an expert Egyptologist guide and transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Luxor.

Arrival in Luxor & Valley of the Kings

Upon landing in Luxor, you’ll meet your guide and head straight to the Valley of the Kings, the ancient necropolis where Pharaohs of the New Kingdom lie in elaborately decorated tombs. As you enter a few of the tombs, vivid hieroglyphs and colorful scenes will transport you into the beliefs and rituals of the afterlife, revealing stories of pharaohs and gods in every chamber.

Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir el‑Bahari)

Next, you’ll visit the striking Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, carved into the cliffs of Deir el‑Bahari. The terraced architecture and graceful colonnades reflect Hatshepsut’s vision and power; your guide will recount how she defied norms to become one of Egypt’s most successful rulers. The cliffs around you echo with wind and history.

Colossi of Memnon

From there, you’ll approach the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues that once guarded the entrance to the pharaoh’s mortuary temple. These towering sandstone figures stand with majestic stillness, their features eroded by centuries yet full of silent grandeur, set against the lush Nile-edge landscape.

Lunch

You’ll enjoy a local lunch in Luxor, in a restaurant that feels warm, welcoming, and grounded in its Egyptian roots. The menu typically includes flavorful traditional dishes: grilled meats, rice, fresh salad, and regional bread. The relaxed setting gives you a chance to rest, talk with your guide, and reflect on the morning’s discoveries.

Karnak Temple Complex

After lunch, you’ll head to the Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious site in Egypt. Walking through the Hypostyle Hall is breathtaking — hundreds of massive columns rise like an ancient forest, covered in carvings that whisper tales of Amun, Khonsu, and Mut. You’ll also visit the sacred lake and obelisks, learning about the temple’s construction, rituals, and spiritual importance.

Luxor Temple & Avenue of Sphinxes

Then, you’ll cross to Luxor Temple, a graceful monument lit by the day’s soft light. The temple’s pylons, statues, and sanctuaries exude a sense of solemn elegance. Nearby, you’ll walk along part of the Avenue of Sphinxes, once a grand ceremonial path linking Luxor Temple to Karnak — its sphinx statues evoke the royal processions of ancient times.

After these remarkable visits, we will transfer you to Luxor Airport, where you’ll board your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, your private vehicle will take you back to your accommodation, completing a day of timeless wonders and transporting you across millennia of Egyptian history.
