After exploring, enjoy lunch by Qarun Lake, named after the legendary king who, according to tradition, was buried with his treasures somewhere in the surrounding valley. Proceed to Wadi El Rayan, a natural depression 42 meters below sea level covering 673 km². In 1966, it became a water reservoir when it was connected to Qarun Lake through underground pipes. Here, you will also see the famous waterfalls, one of the highlights of Fayoum. After completing your visits, drive back to Cairo in the evening.
