Egypt in October: Weather, Events & Complete Travel Guide

October is considered one of Egypt’s two or three best months to visit, and it may be considered the very best month for newcomers. The summer temperatures start to abate: Cairo – 22-32°C, Luxor and Aswan – 25-37°C (early in the month) and 20-32°C (late), Red Sea – 26-32°C, water 27-28°C. The crowds are swelling but haven’t reached their peak yet. Prices start increasing from mid-October as the peak season starts approaching. The Abu Simbel Sun Festival which takes place on October 21-22 is among the most spectacular annual festivals in Egypt.

Egypt in September: Weather, Costs & Honest Travel Guide (2026)

September is a shoulder month in Egypt – not ideal, but not bad either, and much better than what is recommended by many online resources. Temperatures are still high (Cairo 24-35°C, Luxor/Aswan 25-39°C in the beginning of September, going down to 22-35°C at the end of the month), but prices are lower by 15-25% compared to October-November, people are few at the antiquities, and diving conditions on the Red Sea are perfect (water temperature 28-29°C, excellent visibility). The main idea: visit temples in Upper Egypt between 6:00 am and 9:30 am, and organize everything else in the late afternoon or Red Sea area.

Egypt in November: Weather, Things to Do & Travel Tips (2026)

Visiting Egypt in November is ideal. Temperatures throughout the nation cool down to very pleasant levels – 14–28°C in Cairo, 15-33°C in Luxor and Aswan, and 24-30°C on the Red Sea coast, allowing for temples exploration, Nile cruise, and desert adventure that would truly be fun instead of a challenge to withstand heat. This is the beginning of the peak tourist season in Egypt; people start to come in mid-November, and prices for hotel accommodation and Nile cruises become higher accordingly. Make your arrangements 2-3 months in advance for the November trip. Abu Simbel Sun Festival on November 22 is one of the most impressive events in Egypt.

Egy vacations is one of the most prominent players in the Egyptian tourism industry, if not the most important, offering its clients a wide range of benefits.
