Most UK travellers spend 7 to 10 days: Cairo and the Grand Egyptian Museum, a 3–4 night Nile cruise and, often, a few days on the Red Sea. Egypt is two hours ahead of the UK, so there's little jet lag.
Egypt Tours from UK offer travelers the chance to step into one of the world’s most fascinating civilizations while enjoying seamless travel experiences from the moment they leave the UK. With convenient flights from London, Manchester, Birmingham, and other major cities, reaching Cairo has never been easier, and our carefully designed tour packages ensure you see the very best of Egypt without the stress of planning.
Your journey begins in Cairo, a city where ancient wonders and modern life meet. Stand before the legendary Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx, explore the priceless artifacts at the Grand Egyptian Museum, and discover the colorful bazaars of Khan El Khalili. With expert guides leading the way, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of Egypt’s history and culture.
No trip to Egypt is complete without experiencing the magic of the Nile River. Our tours often include a luxury Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan, where you can admire the Temple of Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, and the Temple of Philae while sailing along one of the world’s most iconic rivers. For an unforgettable highlight, many travelers choose to visit the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples, carved into the cliffs by Ramses II.
For those seeking relaxation, our itineraries also cover the Red Sea Riviera, with stops in Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, or Marsa Alam. These destinations offer crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and a perfect mix of leisure and adventure, from snorkeling and diving to desert jeep safaris.
We also offer tailor-made extensions to Alexandria, known for its Mediterranean charm and Greco-Roman history, or Sinai, home to the sacred Mount Sinai and St. Catherine’s Monastery. Each tour can be customized to suit your preferences, whether you’re looking for history, culture, adventure, or relaxation.
All our Egypt Tours from UK include private transfers, professional Egyptologist guides, comfortable accommodations, and carefully planned itineraries. This means you can simply enjoy the journey while we handle the details.
Whether it’s your first time in Egypt or a return visit, our packages from the UK provide the perfect balance of discovery, comfort, and adventure—making your holiday truly unforgettable.

We trusted EgyVacations for our trip to Egypt… They made our trip anxiety free, they solve every problem from our arrival to the airport till our departure.
They helped me plan my day and arranged for an Egyptologist and driver to take me to all these places.
Thanks to well organised sightseeing and tour guide Ahmed who was professional and pleasant.
Pick a question on the left. We answer it the way we would answer it on the phone — with the numbers, and with what we would actually do.
The comfortable half of the year runs October to April: 20–28 °C in Luxor and Aswan, which is what open-deck sailing and three hours inside a temple actually require.
Our tip
Book three to four months out for November to February. For a dahabiya, make it four — they carry twelve people and the good cabins go first.
Most nationalities — US, UK, EU and Australian included — get a 30-day tourist visa on arrival, or online as an e-Visa before they fly. Canadian citizens need a visa from an Egyptian embassy or consulate before travelling.
Our tip
Carry the $36 in cash. The visa window at Cairo takes dollars and gives change in Egyptian pounds, and the card machine is not always working.
Hotels, cruisers and restaurants take Visa and Mastercard. Markets, tips and small cafés are cash. We quote in US dollars and can invoice in EUR, GBP or AUD.
Our tip
Change a little at the airport and the rest at your hotel. Street exchange offices quote well and pay badly.
Light cotton for the days, one layer for the evenings, and shoes you can walk a temple in. Everything else you can buy here for less than you paid at home.
Our tip
Leave room in the case. Cotton, spices and a hand-made galabeya cost a fraction of the airport price in Khan El Khalili, and your guide will tell you the real one.
Cairo to Luxor is an hour by air and ten by road, so almost every itinerary flies it. Between Luxor and Aswan the river is the road, and your room moves with you.
Our tip
Sail Luxor to Aswan rather than the reverse if you can choose. You go upstream against the current, which means slower, longer afternoons on deck.

Ask on WhatsApp All general travel FAQsContact UsNo. Our Egypt tours from the UK start and end in Egypt, so you can fly from your nearest UK airport with the airline you prefer, and we can help you book the flights if you wish. From the moment you land we meet you at the airport, and domestic flights inside Egypt are included wherever the itinerary says so.
A direct flight from London to Cairo takes around five hours, while flights from some regional UK airports connect through a European hub and take longer. Egypt is one to two hours ahead of the UK, depending on the time of year, so jet lag is rarely an issue and even a one-week trip feels worthwhile.
Yes. British passport holders can buy a single-entry tourist visa online before travelling or on arrival at the main airports; it costs $36 and is valid for 30 days. Your passport should be valid for six months from your date of entry. We send you the current steps with your booking, so you know exactly what to do before you fly.
Our private Egypt tours from the UK start from $1,060 per person for 5 days in Cairo and Luxor. Eight-day trips with a Nile cruise start from $1,300, and 12- to 15-day itineraries that add Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh or Alexandria run from $2,310 to $2,690. Prices are per person in US dollars and include your guide, hotels or cruise cabin, transfers and the listed entrance fees; flights from the UK are extra.
Seven to ten days covers Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and a Nile cruise at a comfortable pace. With 12 to 14 days you can add a Red Sea beach stay in Hurghada or Sharm El-Sheikh, Alexandria or the Fayoum. If you only have a week off, a 5- or 6-day Cairo and Luxor trip still works well thanks to the short flight.
Mid-October to April is the most comfortable season, and the October and February half-terms both fall inside it. Christmas, New Year and Easter are the busiest weeks for UK travellers, so book three to six months ahead for those dates, and earlier still for Nile cruise cabins. The summer holidays in July and August are very hot, especially in Luxor and Aswan, but bring fewer visitors and lower prices.
Booking is by enquiry, with no online checkout, and you only pay once the itinerary is the one you want. A deposit as low as 30% of the total confirms the trip (50% over Christmas, New Year and Easter), and the balance is due two days before arrival or in cash when you arrive. Prices are in US dollars, and you can pay by bank transfer, a secure payment link, PayPal or cash on arrival.
If a government or airline issues a do-not-travel warning, your tour is refunded or held as a credit for later. We follow official advice, including the UK's, and plan every itinerary around any area under an advisory. Outside that case, normal cancellation charges apply, from 15% of the tour price when you cancel more than 61 days before arrival up to 100% within 14 days, with a 5% bank fee on refunds.
Yes. Every tour is private by default: your party, your licensed Egyptologist guide, your vehicle and your pace, which suits families, couples, solo and female travellers alike. Children sharing a room with two paying adults travel free under 2, pay 25% from 2 to 5 and 50% from 6 to 11; from 12 they pay the adult rate. Some cruises and hotels have their own child policies.
Send your dates, your party size and the cities you want. A consultant replies with a day-by-day plan and a price in US dollars.
