We trusted EgyVacations for our trip to Egypt… They made our trip anxiety free, they solve every problem from our arrival to the airport till our departure.
They helped me plan my day and arranged for an Egyptologist and driver to take me to all these places.
Thanks to well organised sightseeing and tour guide Ahmed who was professional and pleasant.
Pick a question on the left. We answer it the way we would answer it on the phone — with the numbers, and with what we would actually do.
The comfortable half of the year runs October to April: 20–28 °C in Luxor and Aswan, which is what open-deck sailing and three hours inside a temple actually require.
Our tip
Book three to four months out for November to February. For a dahabiya, make it four — they carry twelve people and the good cabins go first.
Most nationalities — US, UK, EU and Australian included — get a 30-day tourist visa on arrival, or online as an e-Visa before they fly. Canadian citizens need a visa from an Egyptian embassy or consulate before travelling.
Our tip
Carry the $36 in cash. The visa window at Cairo takes dollars and gives change in Egyptian pounds, and the card machine is not always working.
Hotels, cruisers and restaurants take Visa and Mastercard. Markets, tips and small cafés are cash. We quote in US dollars and can invoice in EUR, GBP or AUD.
Our tip
Change a little at the airport and the rest at your hotel. Street exchange offices quote well and pay badly.
Light cotton for the days, one layer for the evenings, and shoes you can walk a temple in. Everything else you can buy here for less than you paid at home.
Our tip
Leave room in the case. Cotton, spices and a hand-made galabeya cost a fraction of the airport price in Khan El Khalili, and your guide will tell you the real one.
Cairo to Luxor is an hour by air and ten by road, so almost every itinerary flies it. Between Luxor and Aswan the river is the road, and your room moves with you.
Our tip
Sail Luxor to Aswan rather than the reverse if you can choose. You go upstream against the current, which means slower, longer afternoons on deck.

For travelers looking for more, day trips from Cairo to Alexandria reveal a city of Mediterranean charm, home to the Qaitbay Citadel, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, and the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
No trip to Egypt is complete without the timeless magic of the Nile River Cruise. Our tours from Dubai often include a journey from Luxor to Aswan, where you’ll visit world-famous temples and tombs. In Luxor, explore the Valley of the Kings, the colossal Temple of Karnak, and the elegant Temple of Luxor. Sail onward to Aswan, stopping at Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples, before admiring the enchanting Philae Temple. For an extraordinary experience, an optional excursion to Abu Simbel showcases one of Egypt’s most awe-inspiring monuments.
If relaxation is part of your plan, extend your trip to the Red Sea Riviera. From Hurghada to Sharm El Sheikh, you’ll find pristine beaches, luxury resorts, and some of the world’s best snorkeling and diving spots. Desert safaris, Bedouin dinners, and boat trips to nearby islands make the Red Sea a perfect blend of adventure and leisure.

Start with the time you can take. The 22 packages on this page last 5 to 15 days and start at $1,060 per person, in US dollars. A longer package adds places such as Alexandria, Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh to the classic route of Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. Each itinerary is priced in full, and private tours are priced per person in USD.

Ask on WhatsApp All general travel FAQsEgypt is a short hop from the UAE: direct flights from Dubai to Cairo take around four hours. Egypt is one to two hours behind the UAE, depending on the time of year, so there is no real jet lag and you can start sightseeing straight away. That makes Egypt tours from Dubai easy to fit around school breaks or a few days of leave.
No. Our Egypt tours from Dubai start and end in Egypt, so you can fly from Dubai or Abu Dhabi with the airline and times that suit you, and we can help you book the flights if you wish. We meet you on arrival, and domestic flights inside Egypt, for example from Cairo to Luxor or Aswan, are included wherever the itinerary says so.
It depends on the passport you hold, not on your UAE residency alone, and the rules change from time to time. Tell us your nationality and we confirm the current requirements when we plan your trip, before you book flights. For many nationalities Egypt issues a single-entry tourist visa for $36, valid for 30 days, on arrival at the main airports or online, but check with us before relying on it.
Our private Egypt tours from Dubai start from $1,060 per person for 5 days in Cairo and Luxor. A 7-day Cairo and Nile cruise trip starts from $1,620, 8-day trips from $1,300, and 9- to 12-day trips that add Hurghada or Sharm El-Sheikh run from $1,860 to $2,360. Prices are per person in US dollars and include your guide, hotels or cruise cabin, transfers and the listed entrance fees; flights from the UAE are extra.
Yes. The shortest trip on this page is 5 days in Cairo and Luxor, and a 6-day trip adds Aswan and Abu Simbel. Because every itinerary can be adjusted in length, a consultant can also plan a shorter Cairo and Giza Pyramids break around a long weekend or a public holiday, with your own guide and driver from the moment you land.
Yes, and it does not need a long holiday. A 7-day Cairo and Nile cruise package starts from $1,620, and 7- to 8-day versions on a traditional dahabiya sailing boat start from $1,700. On a Nile cruise you sail between Luxor and Aswan and visit the temples along the river with your Egyptologist guide, without packing and unpacking every night.
Mid-October to April is the most comfortable season, and the UAE winter and spring school breaks both fall inside it. Those weeks are busy, with Christmas and New Year filling first, so book 2 to 3 months ahead. The summer break falls in Egypt's hot season, especially in Luxor and Aswan, but brings fewer visitors and lower prices, and the Red Sea coast is a good choice then.
Prices are quoted in US dollars, and you pay only once the itinerary is the one you want; booking is by enquiry, with no online checkout. A deposit as low as 30% confirms the trip (50% over Christmas, New Year and Easter), and the balance is due two days before arrival or in cash on arrival. You can pay by bank transfer, a secure payment link, PayPal or cash on arrival.
Yes. Every tour is private by default, with your own licensed Egyptologist guide, vehicle and pace, so the days can follow your children's rhythm. Children sharing a room with two paying adults travel free under 2, pay 25% from 2 to 5 and 50% from 6 to 11; from 12 they pay the adult rate. Some cruises and hotels have their own child policies, and we tell you about them when we quote.
Send your dates, your party size and the cities you want. A consultant replies with a day-by-day plan and a price in US dollars.
